A Marriage of Notoriety is the second book of two in the Masquerade Club Series:
A Beauty and the Beast story with a twist. Phillipa Westleigh, disfigured since childhood, is inadvertently compromised by the extraordinarily handsome Xavier Campion and is forced to marry him. Though they were once childhood friends, neither believes the other will love them for who they are. Phillipa feels she cannot compete with a beautiful romantic rival and Xavier feels Phillipa will never believe he loves her in spite of her scar. Only when she believes he has betrayed her can she see beyond his handsome face.
